AI Detector

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to the text you paste into this AI detector, what limited technical data we collect, and what we do not do. It applies only to this website.

This website is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Copyleaks.

1. Text You Submit for Detection

When you click Check, the text in the editor is sent to our server, which forwards it to the detection service that produces the score and sentence-level breakdown. Only the first 2,000 words of a submission are analyzed; anything beyond that is dropped before the request is sent.

  • Your text is used to produce your result, and for nothing else.
  • We do not publish your text or make it searchable.
  • We do not sell your text or share it for advertising.
  • We do not use your text to train AI models.
  • Results are returned to your browser and are not stored in an account, because there are no accounts.

The detection service retains a job record for operational purposes such as debugging, abuse prevention and capacity planning. Please do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information.

2. No Accounts, No Payments

This site has no sign-up, no login and no checkout. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords or payment details through it. If you email support, we only have whatever you choose to put in that message.

3. Cookies

Running a check sets one first-party, HTTP-only cookie named cl_detect_id. It holds a random identifier — no personal data — and exists so repeat checks from the same browser are treated as coming from the same visitor rather than being pooled together. It lasts up to one year and you can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

We do not currently run analytics or advertising tags on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

4. Technical Data

Like any website, our servers and hosting provider record standard request information — IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps and error logs. This is used to keep the service running, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.

5. Service Providers

We rely on third parties to host the site, deliver it over the network and run the detection engine. They process data on our behalf and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to investigate fraud, abuse or a security incident.

6. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS) and access to our infrastructure is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

This service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent where it applies. Because we do not operate accounts, the data we hold about any individual visitor is minimal. Contact us to make a request.

9. Third-Party Links

This site links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies before providing information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a revised date, and continued use of the service after that indicates acceptance.
